Membership

Any individual, business, or agency wishing to support or promote organic agriculture may join HOFA as a supporting member. Members may choose to exercise their rights of membership which include electing a Board of Directors and voting on matters that come before the General Meetings of Members (HOFA By-laws, Article VII).

Membership must be renewed annually, and members receive periodic notices of meetings and other events. The Board of Directors sets the annual membership fees:

• Individual Membership $25/year 
• Business Membership $50/year
• Lifetime Membership  $300 (one-time payment)

    Exposure to high levels of 2,4-D, an ingredient of Agent Orange used against civilians during the Vietnam war, has been linked to cancers including leukemia in children, birth defects and reproductive problems among other health issues.

    While little is known about the impact of low-level exposure to the herbicide, it does disrupt the endocrine system – a network of glands that make hormones which control growth and development, reproduction, metabolism and our organs and moods.
